SYNOPSIS
Seven Texts About Ecology: Points of view of one Brazilian ecological activist is a compilation of texts, articles and papers elaborated by the Brazilian environmentalist Maurício Waldman (Photo) during the last five years, published in newspapers, magazines, academic journals and websites. Waldman, a historical environmentalist of the State of São Paulo, demonstrates in this collection of texts, a heterogeneous succession of issues that inspire his actions, thoughts and interests, points of view that also are representative of his life as researcher, social activist, journalist and professor. The intellectual trajectory of Maurício Waldman – expressive, plural and independent -, has been incorporated to debates about public policies, in academic field and social mobilizations. Since the years 1970, Waldman writes texts that are published in all kinds of publications, a strong intellectual activism that now, is accessible to English language’s readers.
